The chronology of events presents to you the clear picture of the activities carry out during the course of the academic year 2015-2016.

|School reopened. The day began with a prayer service imploring God for His presence amidst us all throughout the academic year2015-2016. The theme for the assembly: “Well begun is half done”, gave an impetus to begin the year in good spirit.|
|9/06/15||First staff meetingwas held. Teachers were appreciated much for their unflinching dedication and selfless services and were enthused for a fresh start|
|10/06/15||Teachers in different committees ( Discipline, Cultural, Students’ Council and Magazine) met and planned for the activities in their respective committees|
|12/06/15||Inaugural Mass was offered with the theme: ‘Together we march with Vision & Hope”. We invoked God’s blessings for a splendid year filled with optimism and confidence that he will Show us the way.|
|18/06/15||Goa Revolution day – ‘Kranti din’ was celebrated with a special assembly.40 students marched to LohiyaMaidan, Margao, in response to the call for an Integral celebration.|
|19/06/15||Aptitude test was conducted for the budding scientist of Class VII A/B|
|20/06/15||“Futurez IT Talent Test” was conducted for the students of Class VIII A /B|
|21/06/15||Yoga day was celebrated. DVD on yoga was presented to the students, demonstrating the exercises and elucidating the importance of Yoga.|
|26/06/15||Handwriting competition was conducted for classes from V-X.|
|29/06/15||Handwriting competition was conducted for classes I-IV.|
|1/07/15||Divine music Troupe from Hyderabad presented a programmestunningly performed by the blind children. It was heart -rending, inspiring as well as enthralling|
|2/07/15||Installation of students’ Council. Leaders were sworn in, taking the responsibility of leading the school through four different houses.|

|9/07/15||Vanhamahotsava was celebrated on a grand scale. About 300 plants were distributed to the students sponsored by forest department. A unique programme was organized. Mr. NandkumarParab was invited as chief guest for the function.|
|Teachers attended the workshop organized by DCC at Fatima convent.The theme was: “Creative Engagement of teachers in classroom.”
Resource person,Fr.Divya Paul was highly motivating.

|11/07/15||Special assembly was conducted on world population day.|
|20/07/15||Students of Class X A/B attended workshop at Capuchin Friary for a day and returned back fervently nourished.|

|30/07/15||Over 100 parents of our school gathered at Azad Maidan, Panjim, in solidarity, joining hands with FORCEsupporting the demand for English as Medium of Instruction (MOI) in the Primary Section of our Catholic Schools|
|31/07/15||General Body Meeting of the PTA was held.After the meeting, parents submitted memorandum to the MLA Mr. DigambarKamat demanding English as MOI. All the parents signed the Memorandum to get the bill passed.|
|2/08/15||An Ayurvedic health checkup camp was organized in our School by GomantakAyurvedicMahavidhyala, Shiroda, in collaboration with the PTA.|
|Patriotic singing Competition was held for the Primary students inculcating in the young minds the love for the Country.|
|15/08/15||Special Programme was organized on Independence day with the theme: “Secularism – A bond of Unity”. 45 students marched for PrabhatPheri at LohiyaMaidan on the same day.|
|20/08/15||Programme on Consumer Right was effectivelyorganized. Mr. Imam Shaikh was invited as the Resource person.Poster Competition was also held with a display of very creative and attractive posters exhibiting the Consumer Rights.|
|25/08/15||School Complex Activity- Vegetable Carving Competition for the students of VIII & IX|
|26/08/15||School Complex Activity- Workshop on Personality Building and Family Values was arranged for 20 students from the each of the 3 schools.|
|5/09/15||Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great love and affection to the teachers communicating to them through a beautiful programme that their sacrifices do not go vain. Holy Mass was offered for the intention of teachers with the theme: “Teachers, a gift to the community.” New School Library was blessed by Fr. Roland Fernandes in the presence of the staff members and PTA Ex-Co members. Library being financed through the PTA Funds.|

|08/09/15||Birthday of Mother Mary. Each class fervently presented a hymn of our Lady. The day was celebrated with great delight and affection to our Heavenly Mother.|
|12/09/15||Drawing competition was held for the Secondary students with the theme: “Save Energy” providing valuable motivation for the students to focus and discover the extra skills needed to succeed.|

|15/09/15||Ganesh Chaturthi was Celebrated with zest -Special Assembly was conducted, followed by a well-organized programme.|

|24 Sept||A meaningful assembly was conducted to mark the Celebration of the festival of Bakri- Id|
|1st Oct||Special Assembly was held on Gandhi Jayanthi Day. Also 20 Students participated in the Celebration of World Elders’ Day which was organized by the Forum for Senior Citizens.|
|1st Oct||Unaffected sense and a genuine liking for cleanliness was created in the students as they took over the cleanliness drive in and around the School Premises.|
|6th Oct||Students of Class VIIIA/B were taken to see the District Library at Navelim, in order to generate in them the love for good reading habits|
|8th Oct||Teachers got Motivated and refreshed as they attended a day of Recollection at Capuchin Modi, Navelim under the effective Guidance of Fr. Nelson Lobo|
|13th Oct||A day was spent in Adoration before the blessed Sacrament. Students experienced numerous blessings and deep joy as they spent half an hour before Jesus. At the end, Fr. Waldheim, OFM was invited to bless each class along withrespective class teacher.Later the whole staff received the blessing.|
|26th Nov||School re-opened after a fresh mid-term break.|
|27th/28thNov||Athletic Meet in schools benefits not only physical activity but it increases self-esteem and mental alertness of students. Consequently, Athletic meet for boys and girls was held at Fatorda.|
|3oth Nov||Fostering personality development of the students and helping them imbibe a sense of social responsibility, discipline and courage, the Installation ceremony for theguides of Class VIII was conducted.|
|1st Dec||Installation ceremony for the Red Cross boys of Class VIII was held instilling in them importance of companionship and care for others.|
|12th Dec||Sports Day was magnificently organized with splendid drills and fabulous displays. The commendable efforts of Meritorious students and budding athletes were creditedthrough the distribution of prizes.|
|17th Dec||Primary students were decked in a creative and innovative way for a colourful presentation of fancy dress competition.|
|19th Dec||A small programmewas creatively presented at the occasion of Goa Liberation Day.|
|21st Dec||Christmas Celebration was held on a grand scale bringing in the spirit of Christmas and the glad tidings of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. As part of Christmas sacrifice students contributed generously and the leaders of different classes accompanied by teachers offered gifts to 7 families at Ambaulim, Quepem|
|6th Jan||Eucharistic Celebration for the New Year induced the hope in us that God will always show us the way.|
|8th Jan||Sr. Moly SFN presented to the secondary students a resourceful talk on the practicality and usefulness of Mass Media Communication|
|11-19th Jan||Elocution Competitions were held for Angle’s Rolling Shield for classes from V-X, providing opportunities for the students to build self-confidence and enhancement of communication skills.|
|15th Jan||Special Assembly was conducted with the theme: ‘St. Joseph Vaz, Our shining Light’ to express our love and Devotion to the Son of our own Soil St. Joseph Vaz.|
|26th Jan||Republic Day was celebrated with a great pomp and Patriotism.|
|12 Students participated at RavindraBhavan for Patriotic singing Competition.|

|28th Jan||Primary students participated in the inter-School Athletic meet at Complex level and won a lot of prizes.|
|1st – 6th Jan||Catechetical week was celebrated very meaningfully and prayerfully with special theme each day.|
|10th Feb||In order to express our love and devotion to our Beloved founder, especial assembly was conducted. It was followed by the prize distribution of different competition held within the school. An inspiring and motivating Bible Quiz was also held encouraging the students for a deeper knowledge of the Bible.|
|18th Feb||Cordial Farewell was accorded to our SSC students. Special programme was conducted and mass was offered praying and wishing them success and a good future.|
|20th Feb||Spelling bee competition was held for the Primary students offering them a chance to augment their spellingability as well as vocabulary|
|10-18thMar||Novenas of our patron St. Joseph|
|19thMarch||Feast of ourPatron St. Joseph was celebrated very solemnly. The theme for the Mass was: “Merciful like the Father”. School Magazine was released at the occasion|
SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENTS AND EVENTS:
Our Primary students participated for the Mini sports at the complex level and won lot of prizes. Students won lot of prizes at the Super Complex level throughout the course of the academic year.
On Goa Liberation day, 60 Students presented the Saree Drill at the function organized by South Goa Collectorate at MathanySaldanha Complex, Fatorda and Secured the third place. The same group also presented at the opening Ceremony of the Tribal Sports Festival at Amone, Canacona on 8th January 2016.
55 students participated in the integration dance competition and secured first place.
Master SohailSayyed and KashyapShirodker Participated at the state levelScience Seminar and secured 2nd Place among 42 participating schools. It was organized by the Tribal Welfare Association at Amonne, Canacona. The topic chosen was ‘Allium Cepa’
Our students, secured 1st place for the integration dance at the cultural Programmme held at collectorate, South, Goa for the Republic day function.
KashyapShirodker was awarded as Samrat Student of year 2015 -16
Football Boys U-17represented at the Taluka level.
Football Boys U-14 represented at the Taluka level.
Kho-Kho Boys U-14 participated at the Taluka level and secured 3rd place
Kho-Kho Boys U-17 participated at the Taluka level and secured 2nd place
Miss Riya Castanha participated in taekwondo at the Taluka level and secured 3rd place
Miss Riya Castanha participated in taekwondo at the State level and secured 3rd place in their respective age group.
Football Boys U-17 participated in the invitational tournament organized by the Past Pupils Association of Perpetual Succor School, Navelim and reached the Semi Finals
Football boys U- 14 participated SapekTakraw organized by D.S.Y.Aand secured 4th place.
Master Sulaiman –Al- Faaiz was selected for Goa U-16 boys Cricket team for the Tournament at Hyderabad from 28/11/2015 -22/12/2015coaching camp conducted by Goa Cricket Association.
MasterSurajWagh Participated in Roller skating at the 61stNational School Games held between 03/11/2015 -22/12/2015 atBelgavi, Karnataka from Mast. Reevan Noronha participated at the National level in kho-kho In Andhra Pradesh.
